Not very many teenagers can say they influenced a president, but Joey Hudy can. In 2012, at the White House Science Fair, Hudy wowed President Barack Obama with his marshmallow cannon and his motto “don’t be bored, make something.”
Now, two years later, at 16-years-old Hudy is the youngest intern at Intel’s New Devices Group product development. In May, Hudy spoke with the thecreatorspoject.vice.com and explained his next project is ‘smart’ glasses that function by reading human thoughts versus using a camera.
Hudy and his mother, Julia, will be here to speak on our Maker Moms and Dads panel.
Another exciting tidbit to add to Hudy’s resume? He helped inspired the first ever White House Maker Faire that will be held sometime later this year.
